We had a phenomenal experience working with LTB to build our lake house on Lake Travis. Choosing your builder is the most important decision when building a custom home. They will become your most trusted partner in executing upon your dreams.
My wife and I selected a prestigious architecture firm, whom we had won a AIA design award with together in the past so building a custom home was not new to us. However, we had a number of hurdles which we had to overcome selecting a building and executing on our design.
Just before the pandemic we finished design and interviewed builders. Many of the builders we met were not experienced with the severe topography and were apprehensive due to the complexity, and comprehensiveness of the construction documents. We selected LTB because they gave us confidence upfront and had the most familiarity building custom homes on Lake Travis. On top of this we built at a time when the cost of resources had skyrocketed. We had high expectations and on top of that were experienced owners.
LTB gave the confidence up front and executed a challenging build while navigating the uncertainty of the pandemic. The team included a manager and superintendent to ensure proper execution. We were also grateful to have a talented designer assigned to our project who held our hand throughout and went the extra mile to make sure the experience along the way was exceptional.
Equally important, after the move-in date, LTB worked with us through an extensive punch list to ensure satisfaction and made us feel we were a priority.
After our home was completed, we won Austin Home Magazine Reader’s Choice 2023 Home of the Year and were featured in their magazine and website. Further, our home was featured on the Emmy Award winning CBS show, Staycation.
Building our home on Lake Travis was a dream of our family for many years and LTB made that dream a reality.
