History
LTB Design + Build, or Lake Travis Builders as we were previously known, has been building homes in the Hill Country since 2009 and has been awarded “Custom Builder of the Year” 4 times since then. Always focused on customer care and relationships, we carved out a niche of custom homes over $1 million and chose to only work with 12 or so customers each year. This allowed us to keep the relationships and communication with customers on the level we desire, as well as keeping the highest quality on their builds.
In 2018, we added design services to their offerings. This was a tremendous addition to the custom homes we were already building because it allowed the client to step even further into the process and allowed for a more custom build.
In 2022, our team had perfected the shared design + build model and decided a rebrand to begin 2023. That’s how LTB Design + Build became who we are today.
The LTB Team
Brent Allison
Brent Allison is one of the owners at LTB Design + Build. He and his wife Melanie Allison started the company under its old name Lake Travis Builders in 2009, and have grown it into the area’s most awarded custom home builder. Brent is one of only a few Graduate Master Builders in the state of Texas, and he attended the University of Texas leaving with his Masters of Business Administration. The statement “I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as fast as I could” was not originally coined by Brent but is certainly an accurate representation of his Texas pride. Brent directs and oversees all things construction here at LTB. When not building you can find Brent on any sort of outdoor adventure from salmon fishing in Alaska to powered paragliding here in Austin. He is a proud father of three who loves the relatively recent promotion to grandpa.
Michael DeMarco
Michael DeMarco joined the ownership team in 2012, bringing with him a tremendous amount of experience in the custom home building industry. He studied economics at the University of Texas and has been in Austin ever since. As co-owner Michael directs the “business” side of homebuilding which includes the design portion of the “Design + Build” model. Nothing relaxes Michael more on the weekends than getting on his tractor out in East Texas and working the land.
Taylor Van Every
Taylor Van Every is the VP of Business Operations and has been with the company since March of 2021. Taylor earned his Masters Degree in Accounting at Brigham Young University and then quickly returned back home to Austin with his wife to start a career and a family. He is Michael’s right-hand man and is responsible for all things business (finance, sales, operations, etc.) at LTB while working closely with the construction team. Taylor is active in his community and church and spends most of his free time with his family whether that be on the baseball diamond or out on the lake.
Merrow Hart
Merrow Hart joined the LTB team in 2021, becoming VP of Construction shortly thereafter. She graduated from Parsons School of Design in NYC, served her country as a Peace Corps volunteer, and has been working in architecture and construction for 15 years. In her role, Merrow works closely with the individual project managers to ensure our homes are being built in a quality and timely manner. She loves the thought, care, and sweat that go into making beautiful homes, and the sense of camaraderie that grows out of the tremendous team effort. Merrow considers herself a yoga & exercise addict and can be found at Barton Springs on most weekends.
